3 Fonteinen Zenne y Frontera No. 20

Almost fiteen years ago, the first Zenne y Frontera was conceived. The cellar master from Bodegas Tradición selected twelve casks on which we further matured old lambik. Since 2020, we select our casks directly with family owned bodegas, allowing us to select from a wide array of sizes and ages, sherry types, aromas and flavours. The Single Barrel series is the purest expression of the harmony between traditional 3 Fonteinen lambik and authentic sherry. For this Single Barrel Zenne y Frontera, we bottled a four-and-a-half-year old
lambik that has aged for almost a full year on one very small freshly emptied fiftyyear-old oloroso barrel from Josefa Pérez. This bodega is situated in the centre of Jerez de la Frontera, in the shadow of the Iglesia de Santiago. The Pérez family keeps some barrels to supply only a handful of craftsmen. They continue to inspire other small bodegas as once, they were the sherry reference in the region. This sherry lambik was brewed more than 62 months prior to bottling.
