Raspberry, cherry and black currant mead aged in Woodford Reserve (Double Oaked) bourbon barrels for 13 months.

All the berries were fermented separately, and thoughtfully blended to what we felt was the perfect expression of all the berries together. Half of this blend was released right away, while a portion was left to rest in a freshly emptied bourbon barrel from Woodford Reserve that had previously held their acclaimed Double Oaked bourbon.

It still retains a bright and juicy fruit expression after its 13-month-long bourbon vacation. But it comes out richer than ever, amplified by absorbing all the good bourbon juice from the barrel. The aging in fairly young barrels have also added tannins, lending structure and a soft, velvety mouthfeel.
